Psychological First Aid

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network and the National Center for PTSD are pleased to make the Second Edition of Psychological First Aid Field Operations Guide and accompanying handouts available. Psychological First Aid is an evidence-informed approach for assisting children, adolescents, adults, and families in the aftermath of disaster and terrorism.

In addition to the English-language edition of Psychological First Aid, there are versions in Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish.

The National Child Traumatic Stress Network is pleased to announce that a Spanish translation of the Psychological First Aid Field Operations Guide is now available!

Psychological First Aid is an evidence-informed modular approach to help children, adolescents, adults, and families in the immediate aftermath of disaster, terrorism, and public health emergencies.

This new translation includes handouts in Spanish that can be provided to survivors of disasters and terrorism as well as complete Spanish translations for providers.
